Q: How would a group of people trapped in a mixed-data dimension rebuild their reality when cut off from their original world?
A: "Something must be wrong... Datas are changing... I think we are stuck in enclosed data loop", said the hunter.
During the Data War in 2200, a team of data hunters from were sent back to year 2020 to activate all senses of non-living objects and soon discovered that they were stuck in an/enclosed mix data realm...
Maya + Blender + Unity + Sci-fi Story
This interactive & decentralized story experience, created with Twine (open-source tool), follows data hunters from 2100 sent to 2020. Their mission: activate non-living objects to gather data for a war-torn society. As they near completion, lead hunter Number 34 discovers the collected data is unstable. The team becomes trapped in a time-looping dimension, cut off from their world. They must now devise an escape while grappling with the ethics of manipulating data and time.

Q: How to navigate in this new 3D internet era?
The Yroll device transforms the user into an interactive cursor, allowing them to physically navigate and interact with digital environments. This innovative approach bridges the gap between physical and virtual realms, creating a more intuitive and immersive experience. By embodying the cursor, users gain a deeper sense of presence and control in 3D digital spaces.

A: A 3D controller that helps you navigate between dimensions
With the rolling ball, you can navigate VR spaces with just your palm. The sphere shape allows your hand to rest while also supporting the weight. All the computer command gestures are designed to be straightforward: roll forward to go forward, backward to go backward, pressing down to select… etc. There is no need for any complicated finger moves. The device functions based on pressure sensors. The sensors are fabricated into a planar network which allows more flexible reshaping. The network of sensors are labeled as coordinates. The designed software will be able to identify the orders of each coordinate when they receive pressure signals and then determine the directional command in the VR space.

Q: Are we going 2D to 3D or vise versa? What happens if we are in-between?
YROLL World is a WebVR game that immerses players in a dystopian realm where the protagonist is trapped between 2D and 3D realities. Players use the designed product "yroll" - a 3D controller to navigate a network of evolving portals— internet corners—into the unknown.
Maya + Blender + Unity + Sci-fi Story

YROLL World is a WebVR made by Unity. Yroll explores a dystopian world where the protagonist finds themselves trapped in the liminal space between 2D and 3D realities. Through a fusion of 3D animation and storytelling, the narrative delves into the themes of digital entrapment, questioning the boundaries between physical and virtual existence. As the protagonist struggles to navigate this fragmented reality, the animation reflects on the future of human identity, raising important questions about how we interact with and adapt to a world increasingly shaped by technology. As users, with the 3D controller - Yroll, you can navigate across different dimensions. Every portal is the internet, leading you into the unknown. The network of portals is constantly evolving and changing, depending on how you choose to travel.
